OPTIMIZER PRIVACY POLICY

1. MEDIA ACCESS

Optimizer accesses photos and videos only after you grant the required Android permission. You can manage these permissions in Android settings.

2. LOCAL PROCESSING AND INFORMATION

Scanning, duplicate detection, storage estimates, and compression occur on your device. To provide these features, the app may privately retain filenames, file types, sizes, dates, scan state, selections, backup status, recovery information, and cached previews in Android app-private storage.

This information is used only to provide scanning, compression, backup, deletion, and recovery features that you request.

3. OPTIONAL CLOUD STORAGE

Exact copies are transferred only when you choose cloud backup. Cloud storage is currently provided through Google Drive. Cognito Labs LLC does not operate a server that receives or stores users’ photos or videos.

Optimizer’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. HOW INFORMATION IS USED

The app does not sell your media or use it for advertising, profiling, or analytics. Optimizer uses local information and any cloud access only to perform the features you select.

5. SECURITY

Cloud transfers use HTTPS, and local app records use Android app-private storage. No method of electronic storage or transmission is guaranteed to be completely secure, but we use safeguards appropriate to the app’s design.

6. RETENTION AND DELETION

Local records remain until you clear the app’s data or uninstall the app. Cloud files remain in your cloud account until you remove them.

You can delete cloud files in your cloud account, revoke Optimizer’s Google access from your Google Account security settings, clear Optimizer’s Android app data, or uninstall the app.

7. PERMANENT ACTIONS

Files deleted without backup cannot be restored. Media compressed without backup cannot be restored to its original quality. Review selected files, backup status, and all warnings before confirming deletion or compression.

8. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

Optimizer is not directed toward children under 13, and Cognito Labs LLC does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the app.

9. POLICY UPDATES

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to Optimizer or legal requirements. The effective date at the top of this page will show when the policy was last revised.
